Unordered lists are great for listing items without any particular order. Start each line with an asterisk *, a plus +, or a hyphen - followed by a space.

How to Add Text Formatting to Character.AI Characters

To add text formatting to your Character.AI characters, you’ll need to edit your character’s greeting or create a new one.

Let’s start with changing an existing character.

First, log into your Character AI account.

Next, find your character you want to update and click on it. Look for three dots at the top of the page and click on them.

A menu will appear; from there, select Character Profiles and then choose Edit Character.

You’ll now be on a page where you can change your character’s greeting. This is where you can get creative with formatting.

Now, copy the below greetings and paste them in your characeter Greetings settings:

- To **bold** your text, wrap it with double asterisks: `**bold**`.
